UTILITY BILLING AND PAYMENTS
The City of Spearfish reads all water meters monthly and sends billings
each month for all water usage. Utility bills are mailed according to
zones within the City. Changing of the due date of a billing is not allowed
and a five percent (5%) penalty fee is charged to all late payments.
The City offers an automatic payment plan for interested customers. The
form is available in the Finance Office.
Utility payments are posted daily at 4 p.m., any payments received
after 4 p.m. will be posted the next business day. Utility payments can
be
made at the City Finance Office at 625 5th Street during office hours
of 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday excluding holidays. Payments
may also be mailed to 625 5th Street, Spearfish, SD 57783 or dropped
in the drive-up drop box located in the parking lot of the Municipal
Service Centre, directly behind the Hudson Hall building. The drop
box is checked at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for utility payments.
