Summer Reading 2015!

Join us this summer as we celebrate SUPER HEROES!! There's a hero in everyone one of us, and we all have a story to tell. The Library is providing a variety of programming this year for all ages. Be a Reading Super Hero this summer!

Heroes ages 3-8!

Pick up your Reading Logs beginning May 31 or access here. Read two hours a week and come to the library for weekly prizes! Complete all 8 weeks to be eligible for the grand prize, a new bike of choice from Rushmore Mountain Sports!

Heroes ages 8-13!

Be a Reading Super Hero! Challenge yourself to read 4 hours a week this summer and get access for you and your family to an INVITE ONLY Flick 'n' Float Pool Party at the Spearfish Recreation & Aquatics Center! Pizza, prizes and a movie for those who receive the invitation. Keep track of your minutes using the reading log and submit your time in the library or you can enter your hours online here!

Weekly Events:

The Library will be offering story times and activities throughout the week.

Tuesdays:

Toddler Story Time @ 9:30 AM

Pre-K & Early Elementary Story Time @ 10:30 AM

Wednesdays:

Pre-K & Early Elementary Story Time @ 10:30 AM

Thursdays:

Community Hero Activity/Craft Day @ 10:00 AM

(This is a chance to meet some local heroes from the Spearfish community!)

Special Events:

The Library will also be offering some special events for all ages throughout the months of June and July. Events will be held at the library unless otherwise noted.

June 4: Super Hero Training Day (for Ages 3-8) @ 9-11am in the Spearfish Park Pavilion

June 18: Super Heroes Unmasked! - Teen/Tween Craft @ 3-4:30pm

June 25: Meet Your Community Heroes (All Ages) @ 5-7pm

July 9: Comic Books Crafts - Teen/Tween Craft @ 3-4:30pm

July 14: Dragons Are Too Seldon Puppet Show @ 9am at the Spearfish Park Pavilion

            Workshop will follow @ 10am
