 Hi! I am Mayor Jerry Krambeck welcoming you to Spearfish, the “Queen City of the Northern Hills”. Our website will give you basic information, but the real key to Spearfish is the wonderful people who live here. We invite you to explore our beautiful valley that is so rich in history. Spearfish is a thriving town with great business, industry and educational opportunity. We are the home of Black Hills State University, the Matthew’s Opera House, the D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery and Museum, the High Plains Heritage Center and Museum, the Spirit of the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, and scenic Spearfish Canyon.
