BUILDING INSPECTION

The City of Spearfish Building Department’s vision statement is:

“To maintain minimum building standards to safeguard life, limb, property and public welfare by providing consistent plan reviews and inspection services.”

construction imageThe Building Department is responsible for issuing Building Permits within the City limits and Joint Powers Area.

The City of Spearfish has adopted the 2006 International Residential Code, the 2006 International Building Code, the 2006 International Mechanical Code, the 2006 International Fire Code, and the 2006 Property Maintenance Code. A copy of these Codes are on file in the office of the City Building Official.
