STREET DEPARTMENTThe City Street Department has many tasks. Annually streets are scheduled for overlays and continually the potholes are detected and filled. The City has an aggressive crack sealing and striping program. In the fall, winter, and spring sanding streets and removing snow can be a major task consuming much of the City labor force. Snow routes, priorities, and policies may be obtained by calling the Public Works Office. Traffic signals are basically maintenance free, however, burned out light bulbs and power fluctuations may demand attention to the system. Street Supt. : George Martin
