WATER DEPARTMENT
The City’s water usage averaged about 1.7 million gallons per day in 2004 (translates to over 2 days worth of storage under normal usage). The crew samples for bacteria 12 times per month at various points around the City and also samples all chemical samples required by the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources every year (please refer to the water quality report). All crew members are required to obtain and maintain certification for water treatment, water distribution, as well as wastewater collection. The hardness of the water is about 12-15 Grains Per Gallon (GPG) Fee to receive bulk water: $.25 for 50 gallons. Click the following links to view:
