Class Descriptions

SilverSneakers® Classic (Strength): Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and Silver Sneakers ball, offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and standing support. 

SilverSneakers® Circuit (Cardio):  Join us for a fun workout to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for support and stretching! 

SilverSneakers® Stability (Stretching): This low-impact class creates a relaxing stretch-based class for the whole is designed to improve balance, agility, mobility, and power in the body. Movements are practiced in a slow, go at your own pace format. Chair support is offered to facilitate standing stability and seated stretch options. 

SilverSneakers® Yoga: This class will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and rage of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training): This class is a form of interval training incorporating cardiovascular and muscular endurance activity alternating short periods of intense aerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods (Intermediate to Advanced Level).

Spin Class: Indoor cycling, studio cycling or 'spinning' is a high-intensity exercise on a stationary bike. It combines cardio and endurance in a 30-minute calorie-crunching session! Not only is it great for giving you all the cardiovascular gains, but it's great at toning muscles to make you super strong.

Zumba : Latin inspired dance workout that is primarily an aerobic workout and it’s all about having fun. It targets a lot of different muscle groups at once for total body toning and it boosts your heart health.

Line Dance: This class is a choreographed dance in which a group of people dance along to a repeating sequence of steps while arranged in one or more lines or rows. These lines usually face all in the same direction, or less commonly face each other.

POUND: The workout combines cardio, Pilates, isometric movements and plyometrics with constant simulated drumming – all to loud, great music. An energizing, infectious, sweat-dripping workout, each strike of the Ripstix releases a primal aggression as well as a neuromuscular reward of mixing sound and movement.
