Spearfish dispatcher receives Basic 911 Telecommunicators Certification
SPEARFISH, SD – Brian Vosburg, dispatcher with the Spearfish Public Safety Department, recently received his Basic 911 Telecommunicators Certification.
“We are proud of Brian for receiving this professional certification,” Spearfish Police Chief Curt Jacobs said, congratulating Vosburg. “These types of training opportunities contribute to the professional growth and development of our staff, allowing us to better fulfill our mission of serving the public.”
Vosburg was part of the 64th Session of Basic 911 Telecommunicators Certification through the South Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy in Pierre. The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, Oct. 9, when 24 graduates from across the state, representing 16 law enforcement agencies, gained their certifications. Graduates of the program complete 80 hours of training over a two-week period.
