The Wilbur S. Tretheway Pavilion is a popular gathering site for weddings, receptions, reunions, and other community events. The Pavilion is located within the Spearfish City Park and has ample parking for large events.
The City of Spearfish offers sponsorships for 501(c)3 non-profit organizations. If you can provide proof from the IRS as being a non-profit organization, you may be eligible for a sponsorship.

Rental Periods
Rental times are 9:00 am until 7:00 am on the following day. Rental time periods include set up and clean up.
Rentals are categorized as Private or Public Events. Private events include events such as weddings, receptions, reunions, graduations, and birthdays. Public Events fundraisers, celebrations of life, auctions, and community events.
Deposits & Fees
To make a reservation, the applicant is required to pay the deposit at the time of booking. Deposits go towards the rental fee. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the rental date and will be taken from the payment method on file. A credit card must be supplied to secure a rental date. The card will be kept on file to cover any damage or additional charges that may occur.
Public Rental Deposits are $200 and private rental deposits are $500.
The Sunday through Thursday private rental fee is $1,500 per day
The Friday-Saturday private rental fee is $3,000 (for both days, you must rent both days)
The Sunday through Thursday public rental fee is $500 per day
The Friday-Saturday public rental fee is $1,000 (for both days, you must rent both days)
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must occur at least 30 days prior to a rental date in order to receive a refund. No refunds will be given after that time. No refunds will be given as a result or prediction of inclement weather.
Alcohol Permits & Licenses
If alcohol is present at this location, a Brown Bag Permit or Special Alcohol License is required. The Brown Bag Permit fee is $40. Payment is due 30 days prior to the rental date and will be charged to the payment method on file. This fee is non-refundable. Special Alcohol Licenses may be obtained at the City Finance Office.
Insurance
This location requires renters to maintain occurrence based commercial general liability insurance with a limit of not less than one million dollars per occurrence. A Certificate of Liability showing coverage is required to be submitted 30 days prior to the rental date. The Certificate must show the City of Spearfish as the Certificate Holder.
